H.Stern
H.Stern is the largest jewelry company in Brazil and Latin America. Not only does the company create jewelry, but it is also an independent producer of Brazilian precious stones. Before being used in jewelry, each gem is checked meticulously in a laboratory that meets every standard of the Gemological Institute of America (GIA). The world-famous brand started as a small jewelry workshop. H. Stern, a company with a German name, was established in Rio de Janeiro in 1945 by the German emigrant Hans Stern who had fled from Nazi Germany. In 1955, Hans Stern personally created an aquamarine necklace worth more than $20,000 for Nicaraguan president Anastasio Somoza, after which H. Stern jewelry became very popular.
H. Stern jewelry is made of gold and silver, precious and semiprecious stones that Brazil is so rich in. The brand has its own unique methods for processing metals and minerals. Master jewelers give them a variety of shapes, so that each piece is ultimately unique.
